Arriving shortly before 12 noon, I saw the team bringing in posters proclaiming the cons of the Senate Bill. Setting up took about half an hour, also bringing in fliers, readying the loud speaker, etc. Right from the start Gypsy was topless, and shortly thereafter Inti, Gypsy's daughter, also became topless, for the first time that I remember, and then her son Nebo (short for Nebosvod) became nude, also a first. The ever present Lloyd Fishback also showed up to support the group,and he wore his usual golden cock sock for semi-nudity.

Now Gypsy and company stood up on chairs for visibility and to present her case to the public. First Gypsy became nude, then also Lloyd, and, for the first time ever in a public protest, Inti also became nude. That was about 12:30 pm.

Not that there had been many people coming to listen to Gypsy's propaganda, and with the initial semi-nude state of the group that was to be expected. But now with all of them completely nude, more folks came and listened.

Actually, on the opposite street corner a larger group had come to promote the issue of gay sex workers, free rent, etc. and this is, of course, in the middle of the homosexual district, so the queer demands attracted more attention, a noisy ruckus, and curiosity from by-passers.

A solitary policeman stood about 100 feet away on our side, listened to a couple gesticulating and obviously complaining about our team's nudity, and took notes, but no paddy wagons showed up, and about half an hour after beginning her presentation, Gypsy finally finished it, and was interviewed by Channel 2 and some other media folks.

Now Nebo and Inti walked among the spectators, and even crossed the street to the larger crowds, to get signatures for a referendum against SB277. Gypsy set up her loud speaker to pass the promotion from a DVD onto the spectators on our side, just about 1 pm. Ten minutes later another couple of cops arrived a bit closer to our side but did not intervene. Then at 1:20 p.m. Gypsy started to close down her team's venue, perhaps not having had a thundering success for her referendum's promotion - - but for sure, the total nudity of our team did make a difference.
