Spontaneous free beach located at the northern end of the lake Fyresvatn. Nice, large, sandy beach, very suitable for children. Beautiful view over the lake. Pine forest next to the beach.

You are allowed to put up a tent or park your caravan free of charge for two days in the forest next to the beach. You may also stay in a hotel in Fyresdal center. Fyresdal Airparc Hotel (link is external) grants discounted accommodation prices to holders of INF-passports.
Directions:
Go to Fyresdal by National road 355. Approximately 1,5 km north of Fyresdal center (by the airport, 100 m south of the Statoil gas station) there is a road going west in direction Birtedalen. Follow this road for about 1 km until you reach the bridge over the river. Just before the bridge, turn left on the gravel road. After 30 meters, the road forks. Go right to get right to the beach. Go left if you want to park in the forest.
